Naivasha, Kenya, 25th November 2024 – Science, Technology, Innovation and Research (STIR) professionals from across the country have converged in Naivasha, Nakuru County, for a transformative five-day training under the Science, Technology, and Innovation Anchored in Research Professional (STIR-Pro) programme. The event, running from 25th to 29th November 2024, focuses on enhancing participants’ skills in grant seeking, resource mobilization, and report writing.
The training, themed “Empowering STI Professionals for Sustainable Innovation,” is a crucial step in addressing the need for effective resource management in the dynamic landscape of research, science, and technology. By aligning research proposals with donor priorities, participants will be better prepared to secure funding for their innovative projects, driving economic growth and development.
The STIR-Pro program, an initiative of the National Commission for Science, Technology & Innovation (NACOSTI), is dedicated to empowering Kenyan researchers and fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem.
